PROJECT OVERVIEW

SKETCHES
My process for branding often begins with sketches - it's the easiest way to get all my ideas out on the page to see what I'm working with. As you can see, I really loved the idea of including a crown in the icon or wordmark but struggled with how to incorporate it successfully. I tried encasing "Your Highness" within the crown itself, but that didn't feel like it worked. I worked on some messy sketches of monograms with YH, but nothing felt strong enough to continue building upon digitally. Then, I tried simplifying the crown and came up with an idea to have wine glasses and wine bottles within the negative spaces of the crown! It was such an A-HA lightbulb moment.
THE MAIN PROCESS
After strategically designing the brand mark, the next step was finding the right typeface for the wordmark. With hours upon hours of searching, I finallyfound Native Record - the perfect serif, script and sans serif combination. The primary logo was built by combining the serif and script to effectively support the regal and whimsical vibe of this establishment.

The next step was finding the right colour palette - something that matches the whimsical, chic and medieval vibes in Paris.
FINAL DESIGNS
Since this brand design was a response to a fictional design brief on Instagram, it was only natural to post my finished branding on Instagram and tag @thecreativeclc as credit for the inspiration for it. I had a lot of visuals and mockups I wanted to show with my branding, so I created two carousels for social media, as seen below.
Disclaimer: to properly show my branding against the chic atmosphere of the business, I used Microsoft Copilot to generate several of these visuals. My own mockups are thrown overtop of these visuals in some cases.
