Book Cover Design

This was a passion project that allowed me to further explore digital (raster) hand-lettering, and determine how I can incorporate that skill into my design work. For this project, I took one of my all-time favourite novels, and decided to re-design the cover. From rough sketch to solid colours to adding details and then the final version, every part was hand-drawn by me. Taking inspiration from the name of the book, floral roses and greenery border the entire book cover to reinforce the idea of growth, coming of age and a little bit of love. The title of the novel is beautifully hand-lettered and built up from grayscale to a rich gold colour, which contrasts wonderfully with the dark emerald green background.
